In accordance with applicable Federal and/or State laws and regulations, RSU 1 prohibits discrimination (in both the education and employment environments)Discrimination against and harassment of employees, candidates for employment, students and others with rights to admission or access to school programs,employees activities or premises on the basisbecause of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identityidentity, religion, ancestry or expression,national origin, age, familial status, disability or genetic information are prohibited.

RSU 1 Affirmativehas Actiondesignated Planand will include designation ofauthorized an Affirmative Action OfficerOfficer/Title IX Coordinator who will beis responsible for ensuring compliance with all Federalfederal and Statestate requirements relatedrelating to nondiscrimination.nondiscrimination, including sexual harassment. The Affirmative Action OfficerOfficer/Title willIX beCoordinator appointed by the Superintendent and will beis a person with direct access to the Superintendent.

RSU 1 has implemented complaint procedures for resolving complaints of discrimination/harassment and sexual harassment under this policy. The Superintendent/Affirmativeschool Actionunit Officerprovides shallrequired notices of these complaint procedures and how they can be responsibleaccessed, foras ensuringwell thatas noticethe ofschool unit’s compliance with Federalfederal and Statestate civil rights laws isand providedregulations to all applicants for employment, employees, students, parents,parents and othersother asinterested appropriate.parties.
