GCK Professional Staff Assignments and Transfers
The primaryBoard considerationof Directors has the right to assign or transfer professional personnel that is in the assignmentbest interest of professionalthe personneleducation and instructional process.
Therefore, it will be the needspolicy of students and the instructionalBoard program.
Personnelprofessional shallpersonnel be assigned or transferred on the basis of their certification, length of service (in RSU 1 and in the [needsparticular ofschool building), student enrollment, bargaining unit member expertise, and/or caseload numbers.
Care will be exercised by the Superintendent and other unit administrators to ensure that the school system],is [personnelwell qualifications]staffed andwith theireffective [expressed desires] if they can be accommodated.teachers.
TheWithin buildingthe administratorschool, a Principal will have the right to assign classes and coursescourses, withinprovided anthis individualis school. This assignment shall be madedone with full regard to the teacher'teacher’s area of certification and Board policies.
A transfer, reassignment, or special assignment may be requested by any employee, which will be given due consideration in accordance with the provisions of this policy.
