SUPPORT STAFF EMPLOYMENT
WhenIt is the policy of the Regional School Unit 1 Board that when any non-instructionalsupport staff position is created or becomes vacant, anevery effort willis to be made to fill that position with the best qualified candidate.
The Superintendent is hereby designated as the agent of the Board to develop such procedures as are necessary under the law to carry out this policy,policy and to employ, appoint, assign, evaluate, promote, transfer, accept resignations and terminate non-instructional staff in accordance with this and other applicable policies of the Board. TheSuch actions are to be reported to the Board shallon receivea informationregular about non-instructional positions periodically throughout
the school year.basis.
This policy applies to all full and part-time support staff positions and to coaching and other extra/co-curricular, part time/extra-duty positions.
